Well it was a pivotal time. When we were recording many of these tracks, it was right before... and right after my contract was signed and I was able to release "Music of My Mind". So a little bit of the music still has the feel of my sound in the late 60s.

If you were on a road trip from this West Coast desert, to Detroit, Are listening to Thriller and Off The Wall or Purple Rain and 1999?

Wow! Let me rephrase the question so I can give you an answer. If I were going to Detroit from here, I'd listen to Michael, because that's where I met him. If I were going to Minneapolis, I'd listen to Prince.
